WE WERE APART

Dance-film collaboration with world-music phenom DUOJALAL

"When their instruments echo through the dust of an ancient estate, two musicians unearth a love too powerful to stay buried"

WE WERE APART was the inagural film project for LEGGYBONES, and marked the beginning of their long-standing collaboration with world-music phenom group DUOJALAL. It was performed in it's entirety as a live, roving, immersive-theater/dance/music piece in the Long Island Guggenheim palace the Hempstead House. It was made with the support of the SANDS POINT PRESERVE CONSERVANCY and PILOBOLUS DANCE THEATER.
